Bounce Home Test
What is the "Bounce Home Test" used for?
- Meniscus tear
- Loose bodies
How to perform the "Bounce Home Test"?
- The patient is placed in the supine position, with the knee flexed to approximately 15 degrees.
- Hold the patient's foot with your hand, then permit the knee to fall into extension with gravity.
What is the positive result?
- Positive test if the knee does not fully extend.
- If the extension is incomplete or has a rubbery sensation at the joint line, it is likely that there is a torn meniscus.
- On the other hand, if there is a hard end feel, it may suggest the presence of intra-articular fragments such as loose bodies.
