What is the “Speed Test” used for?
- Biceps tendinitis
- Superior labral anterior and posterior lesions
How to perform the “Speed Test”?
- The Speed test is performed by having the patient forward flex the shoulder to 90 degrees with the elbow extended and the forearm supinated.
- Resistance is applied to the forearm.
What is the positive result?
- A positive result produces pain localized to the bicipital groove.

- Sensitivity: 90 %
- Specificity: Ā 14 %
